Lira, Uganda: Amoki Morris, the program coordinator, shared with the media that they are currently training 75 students in Community Child Care, a program focused on Early Childhood Development (ECD). The lessons are being held during the holiday period at the Human Development Technical College in Lira City. He emphasized that their goal is to serve the community, particularly through daycare centers, especially those affiliated with church organizations.

This initiative operates under the guidance of the Pre-Primary Commissioner and the Ministry of Education and Sports, in collaboration with Loro Core PTC located in Oyam district. Mr. Amoki Morris noted that the program is conducted with the full consent and awareness of the students involved.

The training spans five days and covers three distinct modules, taking place exclusively during holidays, with oversight from the Ministry of Education and Sports. The program highlights the importance of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the students and the program management, which is valid for one year and strictly limited to holiday periods.

Amoki showcased a sample of teaching aids created by the students themselves, supported by ongoing supervision. He called on other faith-based organizations and the wider community to assist in employing graduates who have completed the third module.

In an exclusive interview, Akello Irene Owiny, the Deputy Principal of Outreach at Loro Core PTC, remarked on the vital role caregivers play in enhancing the learning experience. This program, which began in 2015 and ran until 2018 with funding from the Global Partnership for Education, gained significant momentum. Earlier this year, the principal of Loro Core PTC, along with the Assistant Commissioner and leaders from the National Fellowship of Born Again Churches, continued to support this initiative, which also includes Sunday school programs under the church's foundation.

Earlier this year, the principal of Loro Core PTC, along with the Assistant Commissioner and leaders from the National Fellowship of Born Again churches, came together for an important initiative. Amoki mentioned that the church foundation also supports a Sunday school program. Okada Opito Patrick, the principal of Loro Core PTC, who led the event, introduced the "Triple C" Community Child Care program. He explained that this initiative is designed for nursery school teachers, with a training duration of one year, which has been enhanced through funding from UNICEF. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate, and the program also includes training for CPDs who serve as facilitators.

To enroll in this program, students must have qualifications ranging from P.7 to S.4. The meeting was attended by various leaders, including a bishop from the Born Again Pentecostal churches, alongside the students and the Loro Core PTC team, which included the principal, deputy principal for outreach, bursar, and registrar.
