Lira, Uganda: The Uganda Christian Institute in Lira has upgraded its computer lab with cutting-edge technology to enhance digital learning.
The new computers are designed to give students the tech skills they need to thrive in today’s job market. This move highlights the school’s dedication to delivering quality education and encouraging innovation. "Students now have the chance to get practical IT training, which helps connect what they learn in class with real-world experience, setting them up for global career opportunities."
In a statement, Mr. Sam Omara, the Director of UCI School of Nursing and Midwifery, mentioned that this development is part of their goal to become a top learning institution in Uganda. He pointed out that IT skills are essential across various professions, and the lab will also benefit the community and teachers, not just students.
Additionally, it’s been noted that UCI’s School of Professional Development offers ICT courses that are greatly benefiting students in Uganda, which will further enhance their ICT programs. Many alumni from the Uganda Christian Institute’s Nursing and Professional Development programs have become successful leaders in various fields. Research shows that a significant number of UCI Nursing graduates secure government jobs due to their outstanding skills.
