Alebtong trains over 3000 students with patriotism course

Lira, Uganda: Over 3000 students in Alebtong from different secondary schools and tertiary institutions have been intensively trained with patriotism lessions.
Their training came as an initiative by security to instill discipline in way to combat the cases of strike at schools.
While speaking during the passing out of the students, RDC Alebtong Gillian Akullu Omara revealed that the students were taken through physical fitness, patriotism classes and lecture on social encomic transformation.
She added,beside training students also had chances to interact and correct networking among themselves.
" We now expect them to be part of the peace promoters at schools and promote good messages about their country Uganda". She asserted.
Schools such as Akiibua S.S, Amugu S.S, Aloi S.S , Apala S.S among others sent their students and patrons to receive the training.
The students according to Assistant RDC Alebtong, Jimmy Okello were picked from senior to Senior three for Ordinary level, for Advance level senor five students were picked respectively.
In his remarks, RCC Lira Lawerence Egole who presided over the event on Saturday as the Chief guest praised the district leaders of Alebtong for conducting the training.
Egole urged the students to use the skills for transformation in their schools in a positive ways.
He further cautioned against participating into violence demonstration against country which is currently being promoted by agent of development in the country.
"Maintain discipline because without you can't succeed, I tell you discipline is a key to success." He added.
