How Maruzi Seed Secondary School has improved access to education among community in Apac
APAC, UGANDA: The authorities at Maruzi Seed Secondary School in Apac have reassured parents about the positive learning outcomes for their students.
With the seniors six candidates sitting for their final exams, the school officials are confident that the candidates are well-prepared and ready to achieve great results.
In an interview with this publication, the Headteacher, Mr. Donald Oyera, expressed his belief in the students' readiness and their potential to excel in the exams, paving the way for their next educational journey. He revealed that last year, several students from their school made it to universities in Uganda, including one who is currently studying medicine at Soroti University on merit.
Mr. Oyera also shared that the UCE candidates have completed their exams successfully.
Maruzi Seed Secondary is recognized as one of the top schools in West Lango, known for its strong academic and sports performance, with many students achieving impressive grades.
Some UACE students praised their Headteacher, stating, "We feel well-prepared and organized as we start our final exams." Mr. Oyera is focused on enhancing the school's reputation in the sciences.
A parent identified as Odongo Pius ofbTemogo cell in Apac Municipality, noted that the school has greatly improved educational access in Apac. "We used to send our children far away for schooling, but now with Maruzi Seed, we don’t have to travel anymore." He encouraged other schools to learn from Mr. Oyera's effective administration.
Currenly, 60 studnets are sitting Uganda Advance Certificate of Education 2024.
School Facilities
Maruzi seed secondary school, was among the beneficiaries of government projects, Ministry of education and sport with support from government constructed a fully functional class rooms.
The school has electricity and fully computer rooms.
COST
Much the school is performing well in education with good examinations results, their fees is affordable and accessible by parents regardless of their backgrounds.
In fact, many parents see the school as a savior.
