Massive turn up at Lira Referral Hospital as Dr.Aceng Holds Women medical camp

LIRA, UGANDA: There is a massive turn up of patients at the women's health camp at Lira Regional Referral Hospital 

''Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero is expected to launch the women's health camp t on 5th-9th,2024.

Dr.Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero personal assistant Hon.Zana Opolot told journalists on Monday, the unwavering support and contribution of hon. Dr Jane Aceng Ocero in Lango Sub -region earns her weight and praise.

Opolot disclosed that the development was brought to support and help vulnerable community.

A woman called Jenifer from Alebtong district called for the people of Lira City to embrace Dr.Jane's contribution of improving health condition in Lango sub-region and the whole country.

Additionally, Betrace Odongo from Bata town council in Dokolo district hails Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng for her unwavering support to the people of Lango.

She described the event as very fruitful saying that she had suffered from illnesses but because of money shortage she had never got any medical any medical assistance thus thanking Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng.

She rallied people of Lira City to vote for Aceng come 2026 election for further advancement to be achieved. 

Speaking to this publication, the organizing committee for this big event elaborated that, The surgeries and overall health support are made possible through the tireless efforts and backing of Hon. Minister Dr. Ruth Aceng Ocero.

 Dr. Aceng, known for her dedication to improving healthcare in Uganda, has once again demonstrated her commitment to the well-being of her constituents in Lira City.

Rose Akello chairperson women league Ngetta sub county told reporters that the health camp is the first of it's kind she has ever experienced.

She said as voters they want physical accountability from their leaders not words. 

Dorcas Ayao , another resident suffering from Goitre said she had a goiter for almost a year and hopes of getting treatment were not there because of money.

'' Am happy that my problem has been addressed and I strongly believe that i will recover. Thanks You our daughters for your good heart's '' she said.

She praised Aceng for being a woman of people and tasked others leaders especially from Lango to always sacrifice their wealth for their constituents just like Aceng did.

In another engagement with Zena Opolot she said Lira would appear Like Mulagp Hospital and that is why she has to be voted back to parliament in 2026-2031.

The surgeries aim to address a variety of medical conditions that require urgent attention and would cost an individual over 5,000,000/= to be manage but through Dr Jane, these women will receive free health services in the women's camp, this is aimed at ensuring that the women of Lira City and neighborhood receive the necessary care to lead a more healthier lives. The preparation and execution of these procedures have been meticulously planned, with healthcare professionals working diligently to ensure the best outcomes for the patients.

The support from Hon. Minister Dr. Ruth Aceng Ocero highlights the importance of accessible and quality healthcare for all, especially for the rural women who often face unique health challenges. Zena said HON Zane will launch it officially and do the surgery supervision herself and will lead it personally.she added that the leadership and advocacy of Aceng continues to make a tangible difference in the lives of many, fostering a healthier and more resilient community.
