BIG STORY! Apac Technical Sch on the road to promote Presidential Initiative on Skilling Ugandans
Apac, Uganda! The community and stakeholders are really excited and grateful to the NRM government for starting a big project to build a modern workshop at Apac Technical School in the Lango sub-region. This new workshop will help students reach their goals and support the presidential initiative to skill Ugandans.
A reliable source says that construction will begin soon since local leaders in Apac district have already commissioned the project .
This new building will not only raise educational standards but also increase student enrollment.
Mr. Patrick Jasper Ojok, the principal of the school, shared with us that construction will kick off shortly. He believes this development will greatly enhance education in the area and provide learing space to the students aspirng to mechanical engineering and buildings.
Apac Technical School is known as one of the best technical schools in Lango and welcomes students who have completed their Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) and Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE).
The school is dedicated to the presidential initiative on skilling Ugandans and has helped create jobs for unemployed youth by offering vocational training.
Mr. Ojoko further revealed that the school is open to students at all levels.
Here are some of the courses available:
- National certificates in building construction
- National certificates in automotive mechanics
- National certificates in fashion and design
- National certificates in woodworking
- National certificates in plumbing
- National certificates in painting and design
- National certificates in welding and fabrication, along with other short courses under non-formal education.
For those entering from Primary Seven, community polytechnic certificates are also offered. The active principal emphasized that technical skills can help shape students into successful individuals in the future.
On Monday, November 25, 2024, around 300 students from Apac Technical School will start their national certificate exams, and they are well-prepared for.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
The school, which opened in 1984 during Obote II as a community school, was later taken over by the government and has continued to thrive under the NRM government.
It also has a team of dedicated staff who really believe in the importance of education. They are kind-hearted individuals who provide both career advice and support to their students. Through their informal programs, the school has helped many students who dropped out to find success and jobs. Right now, one of their students is working at a fashion and design factory.
Apac techinical school has a well dedicated employees who valued the benefit of education, they are good fearing people who offer both careers guidance and moral to their students.
Through their non formal prpgrams, the school has trained several school dropout to become successful and employed, currently one students is employed the factory of fashion and design.
