Lira University: Moses Ayena Declared New Guild President

The Independent Electoral commission of Lira University has declared Moses Ayena as winer in the just concluded Guild Presidential Elections . 

According to University's returning officer,Loyang Beatrice out of 2,233 students who were registered voters only 1,240 participated in the voting process.

She  said the winner Moses Ayena contested against three other candidates.

In the results, Moses Ayena scored 550 votes, followed by Abuka Geoffrey with 522 votes, Awio Kogan with 96, taking the 3rd position.

After the results Ayena Moses the  gulid president elect pledged to collaborate with his opponents who did go through to develop the university.

However, his opponent Geoffrey Alex Abuka did welcome the results. He said his team will come out with the formal statement on their side.

Addressing media, Mr. Bismarck Olang the electoral commission chairman of Lira University urged candidates with complaints to make formal appeal to them.
