Museveni calls for East Africa bondness as Zanzibar celebrates their Revolution Day

East Africa: President Museveni of Uganda has cautioned members of East Africa committee against disunity saying it's a setback to the region.

He said for him he believes in Unity. " you cannot tell me about divisions,  for me I believe in Unity" . He said.

The president remarks was made during the 60 years of Zanzibar revolution celebrations held at Amaan Sports Complex in Zanzibar.

Invited by H.E President of the United republic of Tanzania, Samia Saluhu  Hassan, Museveni said  Africa can not progress with development without embracing unity.

He also well congratulated  people of Zanzibar for reaching their 60 years of anniversary.

Zanzibar revolution was achieved on January 1964 by the majority black population under the leadership of  John Okello Field Marshall, a Lango by tribe from Northern Uganda against the ruthless, brutal leadership of the Arab.

It was reported that Okello who  was unarmed attacked a police station and grabbed a gun using a catapult and eventually leading to his victory.
