Joy As MP Aceng Delivers Two Wheels Tractors to Farmers in Lira City

Lira, Uganda: Lira City woman MP who doubles as Health Minister of Uganda, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng has lobbied and brought to working brand new walking tractors to the farmer groups who have organized cooperative societies in Lira City.

Addressing the beneficiaries during the hand over ceremony, Minister Aceng appealed to them to use the tractor to promote farming activities and overcome poverty among their households.

She added that beside two tractors she lobbied from ministry of agriculture, she has provided gumboots to the beneficiaries with her resources.

Her support is now inspiring several voters to follow the president's message on wealth creations through commerical agriculture, Mr. Benson Apita a group leader of Amuca coffee processing and marketing Cooperative Association has testified this in a separate interview with this publication.

"Using animal traction was too expensive as compared to two wheel tractor donated by their woman MP Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero which will reduce work labour".Apita noted.

He added the two wheel tractor will help expand their coffee farm to a large scale as coffee producers in Lango.

George Okello Lira City East division mayor thanked MP Aceng for fulfilling her promise.

He urged the beneficiaries to grow crops which are marketable so that they improve their household income.

While handing over the two wheel tractors to the beneficiaries, MP Aceng appreciated people of Lira City for showing her overwhelming love and support.
