Incompetent legislators is to blame for slow development in Lango-Mp Okot

Dokolo Uganda; Kyoga County Member of Parliament, Moses Junior Okot Betek has revealed detail secrets why Lango sub region has been lagging in development.
Okot who is a renowned critic of NRM government for so long in Lango, on Saturday 3rd, 2024 rained verbal bullets on his fellow members of parliament over what he termed as a mess in the current state of affairs.
He alleged that Lango sub region has trailed in development because of choosing incompetent leaders in parliament who are unable to deliberate on critical affairs for the region adding that the number of debaters from Lango are few in parliament.
‘’In the upcoming general election, I advised you please don’t vote weak leaders who will go for voting in parliament only instead of debating, as Lango we are suffering and not developing because of such weak Mps.’’ Okot painful narrated.
Okot was attending a burial of the departed spokesman of Lango Musicians Association, Munu Bernard aka BeePee in Dokolo over the weekend.
He described the fallen Singer as a great artist whose memories will be remembered in Lango.
BeePee died at Lira Reginal referral Hospital after he was involved in a fatal road crash near Front-page Club in Lira City on 23rd January, 2024.
This is not the first time lango is facing such an embarrassing word, a senior Politician, Daniel Omara Atubu recently raised the same issues.
Atubu who also participated in the formulation of 1995 national constitution explained the important of choosing competent leaders regardless of their political belongings or finical status.
‘’ Our current leaders majority of them are incompetent and cannot debate on the complex issue for Lango’’.
