Uganda: E.C Releases Roadmap for Dokolo WMP Seat

Dokolo, Uganda: The Independent Election Commissioner Chairman, Justice Simon Byabakama Mugezi has unveiled the roadmap for election of Dokolo woman parliamentary by-election.

The seat became vacant following the demise of the FDC Iron Lady Cecilia Atim Ogwal former Dokolo WMP in January 2024.

While addressing stakeholders in Dokolo at Dokolo Technical School, the E.C Boss told the people of Dokolo to uphold the legacy of the late in embrace peace.

" Late Cecilia Atim Ogwal was a woman of peace, therefore let's uphold her legacy by holding a peaceful election here." He said.

According to the official roadmap, voters' register update begins on today 12 to Thursday this week while polling date is set on March 21, 2024.
