Felix Adupa Ongwech Speaks out on his Unwavering Support for NRM Party

Amolatar, Uganda: Former Contestant for Kioga County constituency,Felix Adupa Ongwech, has re-echoed his unwavering support for the National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Adupa who also hope to contest again in 2026 election under N.R.M ticket, will face-off with several candidates who are looking to represent Kioga County Constituency. 

Adupa promised to be accountable to the people, commitment to service above self and uniting the people of Kioga County towards development,

 Mr. Adupa who is still a very active member in the party says he will abide by the N.R.M Constitution and principles and also focuse on development . 

“ Our principles as the NRM are patriotism, social-economic transformation, democracy and unity. These are the ideals we live by. I have confidence in the NRM party systems, and I adhere to the rules and regulations that govern the party members. I do not intend to go against my party. ”

On declaring his unwavering support for the NRM and the party chairman, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Mr. Adupa committed to continue working with the party to ensure prosperity and success in Kioga County. 

“We are going back to focus on what counts – livelihoods of our people, income generating projects, making sure that service delivery is happening and traversing the area for more support,” Adupa said. 

Mr.Adupa also called upon party members to avoid chaos and work on uniting everyone in the party. 

“I think we as NRM representatives, need to organize ourselves and not create problems for the party and the President. Our people have realized that the NRM systems work and that the President does listen to their cries and acts upon them,” he said.

He committed that he would be on the campaign trail campaigning actively for President Museveni’s re-election and all NRM flag bearers in the upcoming 2026 National Elections. 

At the core of his politics is his interest to effectively represent the common man, defend and protect N. R. M party interest and values, Improve the grassroot Mobilization of party members, Popularize N.R.M Manifesto, government poverty reduction strategy, wealth creation and amplify Chairman's Initiative for Inclusive responsive and transparent government and lobby for more development and better Northern Uganda. 

Adupa added that his major focus and priorities if voted also will include, improved health care system, extension of clean safe water and improving the road network, encouraging people to join government poverty alleviation program such as P.D.M ,Y.L.P and many others.

Adupa also want government to allocate more funds for salaries increments of Art teachers.

He pledged to ensure that Amolatar district have a district hospital.

,, As everyone knows, Amolatar district has not district hospital am going to make sure government build for us hospital and Government therefore needs to take keen interest in ensuring that it is fully equipped said Adupa. 

Adupa added that, Whereas government prides in having worked on most roads across the country, He says its only major highways that are tarmacked while district feeder roads are in sorry state, asking legislators to push for increased budget for both roads and water saying there are a number of villages that still share water with animals.
