Lira ; Agweng Parents’ School names Star in PLE

Lira, Uganda; Lira District leaders have named Agweng Parents’ Nursery and Boarding school a star in the recent release of National Primary Leaving Examination 2023.

Agweng Parents’ Primary School is a privately owned school in Lira District, known for its everlasting outstanding performance, the school is located at Agweng town council along Kitgum highway.  

Statics from Lira District Education department have put the school top among the first five excelling schools, in the results, Awirao Primary in Awiodyek, Alikpot and Agali have been ranked among the worst performing schools in Lira District.

Speaking to this Publication, Mr.  Patrick Olwit the District Inspector of Schools Lira confirmed the development. He expressed happiness upon the good performance.

Olwit further encouraged our teachers to also work hard in order to improve on their performance.

‘’We believe all candidates can perform well if teachers commit themselves in building theme. He said.

This publication has learnt that Agweng Parents Primary was ranked among the best performing schools since no candidate failed.

An attempt to speak to this the school leaders at the time of filing this article was unsuccessful, however, a teacher declined to be mention disclosed that the school is in preparation to conduct a thank giving ceremony toward this satisfactory results.

He added that there is a great improvement in this year’s performance compared to 2022.

One of the parents who spoke to this publication identified as Okello Bosco from Ogur Sub County commended the School administrator for the efforts made in transforming the lives of the community.

‘’This impressive results is a sign of commitment at school at all level from teachers, us parents and children.’’ He said
