Sports Minister,Contractor Expected in Lira Tomorrow to Inspect Akiibua Studium Construction site

The Minister of State for sports, Peter Ogwang is expected to lead a team of technical officials from the National Council of Sports to Lira City to inspect the proposed site for the construction of Akii Bua Memorial Stadium. 

A source confirmed that government has secured unspecified sum of funds to kick start the construction of Akii Bua Stadium.

 Minister Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng who is also the Lira City Woman MP has confirmed the latest development.

She said , Junior Minster for Sport and Education Peter Ogwang informed her about the meeting with president Museveni over the Akiibua Stadium. 

According to Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng woman MP Lira City , Honourable Ogwang will visit the site alongside contractor Tomorrow Thursday February 29,2024. 

Construction is expected to kick start as soon as possible and President wants it to begin this year, 2024.
