Source: Qfm Lira Resident City's flamboyant Commisioner Lawerence Emmy Egole has touted DFCU bank,describing it as a good development partner to the Ugandan govement. 

The flamboyant RCC Egole who is renowned fo his imaculate ,coherent and fluency in expressing himself in the queen' s language made this remarks at Magaritha palace hotel_Lira during a dinner party held by DFCU bank as part of the celebrations of their 60 years of remarkable services. 

Mr.Egole who was the guest of honour observed that private partners financial institutions such as DFCU banks are postively contributing to the speedy growth and socio_economic transformation of Ugandans economy.

He further described DFCU as a honest and transparent bank that has maintained their legacy for over five decades. 

As leader who is passionate about the growth of women in business, commissioner Egole also used this opportunity to advocate for increased access to credit faculties and business financing of female vendors and generally women in business.

"As you celebrate your 60 years of service, I want to appeal to you that please increase more support to our mothers vending on streets in Lango here so that they upgrade to next level" Egole asserted.

During the dinner party, several clients, partners and companies shared their testimonies and good moments with DFCU bank. 

Lira City Mayor Sam Atul in his remarks called for complusory finanical literacy by both banking institutions and goverment. 

Mayor Atul who is a former class room teacher of economics empazied on the importance financial literacy to the community.

I have been a student of commerce, a student of principal of accounting a teacher of business adminstration but I still find some challenge with financial management. 

"During lockdown when banks agents told us that our loans will be reschudled, many of us didn't understand and eventually affected most customers but I toom.my time and approached DFCU were I am a client and asked to be guifed and later I opted to pay loans without accepting the isuuse of rescheduling" Atul told the audience.

Dr. Morish Chris Ongom, the chairman of Uganda chamber of commerce Lango commended DFCU bank upon their celebration and financial services to the community.

"I want to personally appreciate DFCU bank for making 60 years , in Africa, many businesses don't celebrate their frist birthday but here we are talking of 60 years, this is a great achivements and its really motivates us to embrace"He shared.

Dr. Ongom also urged the business comunity to desist from the belief that goverement will provide them with everything and urged all ciztens to work hard and support the deveopment of private sectors. 

Meanwhile, during the engagement, Mr. Charles Mudiwa the Chief Executive Officer of DFCU said DFCU is commited to delivering impacful serives to the community. 

He said DFCU bank aims at supporting local communities to improve their lives .
