Opio Opeo takes over as Acting Deputy RDC Otuke,Roots for Service Delivery

Otuke, UGANDA:The acting deputy resident district commissioner of Otuke Isaac Opio Opeo has called for close collaboration from the civil servants in a bid to spur development and service delivery.

"We are not here to witch-hunt,we are here to strengthen,we are here to complement with very clear minds by the way and all we are destined for is service delivery" commissioner Opio stressed on Thursday afternoon of 5th September 2024.

He was speaking at a ceremony where the outgoing RDC Francis Adyama who has been transferred to Serere district handed over office to Francis Okwameri,the deputy RDC and who is now Incharge.

This means there was a vaccume in the office of the deputy RDC and for now the Assistant RDC Isaac Opio Opeo has filled it.

In his speech the acting deputy RDC Opio commended the outgoing RDC Adyama for his abled leadership that has enhanced service delivery in Otuke.

"When I can here in June this year,you welcomed me and we consumed from your experience and you asked us to follow up on what you have been doing once you are away,and we shall do that " Opio disclosed while thanking Adyama.

In attendance at the handover ceremony was Francis Abola the LC5 chairman otuke district, joshepo Lomongin the chief adminstrative office, James igon the deputy CAO, Denis otim,the district Internal security officer and ARDC otuke Mitala Umar.

Meanwhile Opio has tasked the district Engineer to explain the value for money and accountability on the shillings 1Bn that was utilized on roads and other infrastructural development.

He further disclosed that his focus will be on improving education, health,poverty alleviation through the Parish development model and roads.

Opio,a former teacher, educationist and a clan leader is known for his clear-headed leadership,pasion for service delivery and a team player and fomerly served as the speaker of Lango cultural institution.

Meanwhile Francis Adyama Ekajo appreciated the cordial working relationship that he enjoyed with the civil servants and political leadership of Otuke above all peace and security that has been achieved.

Francis Abola,the LCV chairperson of Otuke said he is very appreciative of the new team appointed by president and pledged to collaborate and coordinate with them to ensure effective service delivery in the district.

Joshepo Lomongin,the chief Adminstrstive officer of Otuke who has just been transferred from Buyende district likened his office,that of the district chairman and the office of the president to holy trinity

The office of the district chairman is God the farther because he offers political direction to enhance service delivery,the office of the resident district commisiers is the Holy spirit since they provide guidance and wisom to perfect leadership and my office as the CAO is God the son and I pledge to work with the team to provide effective service delivery" he said
