BIG STORY ! MP Aceng Finances Community to overcome Poverty

Lira, Uganda; In her move to help community overcome poverty, Lira City woman member of Parliament Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng " Ocero" has boosted registered community groups within her constituency with fund  worth 500,000 Ugx to each group to expand their businesses. 

On Wednesday, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng met the group members and urged them to wisely use the  available fund to expand their projects so that they kick poverty out of their family settings.

The beneficiaries were restaurant community, salon operators, youth groups among others.

Minister Aceng revealed the fund is given in fulfilment of her promises of fighting poverty among the households in Lira City.

She added as a mother and a  good leader , she wants to promote wealth and health of her people.

She further  assured the people of Lira City, as a mother,   she will always be on the  ground to ensure  her constituency's members are accessing good services.

Several group members were excited about the development, they promised to invest well with the  cash. Eunice a member of women in action, Kakoge, one of the beneficiaries testified the goodness of the financial grant to their community.

" As I talk, we are in food processing business and earning big from the 500000 Ugx we received. Now we have close to 10 Million Ugx." She disclosed.

Dr. Aceng additionally appealed  to them to embrace government programs such PDM among others in their community. 

Earlier this week, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng lunched a women and children health camp in Lira City, the medical received overwhelming number of people.
