Lira City: Minister Aceng deserves another term in parliament

Lira -Uganda: The National ruling Moverment Party Spokesman Oyam District Philip Ogile Jakayo has asked people of Lira City to maintain the incumbent woman MP for Lira City Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng in parliament because of her great contributions.
Ogile who is also a chairman of Abok subcounty Oyam district told this publication that much as Aceng has spent few years in parliament, her contribution is bigger than what her opponent Minister Amongi who is among the longest serving MPs in Uganda has done.
Ogile explained that Aceng's deeds supersedes her weakness noting that Dr. Aceng has greatly developed Lira in all sectors.
He cited Lira referral hospital which ia now upgraded and other sectors.
He added that if Aceng is given another term in parliament she will expand her contribution in all parts of Lango and ensure that our city compete countrywide.
Ogile also accused those plotting Amongi of being enemies to development in Lango.
Without disclosing their details, Ogile who is a true supporter of NRM also said some of the business men behind Minister Amongi' s camp are looking for protection since they are accused of illegal purchase of public land.
Recently Minister Aceng was voted by people of Lango as the best performing female MP and minister in Lango during a community radio talkshow in one of the local radio stations.
