Popular Journalist Charles Osendru Declares intention to run for LC 5 seat in Amolatar District

Lango renowned media personality, Charles Osendru is rapidly gaining support from his natives as he declared to run for LC 5 seat for Amolatar district.

Osendru who worked with radio fm Lira on Wednesday this week addressed journalists in Lira Hotel about his new move to cross to politic.

Osendru is currently consulting the people of Amolatar district as he waits for an official declaration of campaigns period from independent electoral commission of Uganda.

In an interview with the media held at St. Lira Hotel on 21, August 2024(Wednesday), Osendru said there is generally poor service delivery in terms of education, suspected misuse of road funds, whereby, some high profile leaders in Amolatar are not having the heart for the people at the moment.

He accused some leaders of being involved in illegal fishing business,exergarating the numbers of learners among others.

"For a better service delivery for the people of Amolatar district,I have come out openly consult and to contest a be the voice of the voiceless so that they can access clean and safe water, better health services,helping orphans and widows,and fighting corruption among others"He added.

VOTERS SPEAK OUT

A woman from Amolatar town council who preferred anonymity ,told our reporter that Osendru Charles is the right person to vote for come 2026 general election, because, he is an all round person,very informed and wil be attentive to listen to people's concerns once voted into office as LCV Chairman. 

A 29 year old woman of Amolatar town council said Osendru has been spotted as a  honest, brilliant ,vibrant and a very influencial tycondo who can actively participate in the district leadership.

An LC1 Chairperson of Agikdak sub-county ,told our reporter that, it is on record that Osendru has trained many people in regards to tycondo skills,congratulating him for coming out openly to help the  people of Amolatar district as far as service delivery is concerned.

Okello DD,a 69-year- old man of Kioga county said Osendru has no Party he ce he will work very wellasa youthful LCV Chairman in Amolatar without any Party affiliation.
