Disbelief In Agago As UPDF Soldier Kills Three, Injures Two

A Uganda People's defense forces Soldier identified as Bonny Amenoy on Sunday allegedly shot and killed three people and Injured two in Paimol sub-county in Agago district .

The gruesome incident happened on 20 October 24 at around midnight in Ngora East village, Ngora Parish, Paimol Sub County, Agago North County in Agago district.

 Brigadier Felix Kulayigye, the Director of Defense Public information confirmed this incident in a Press statement 

Preliminary information indicates that Pte Amenoy Bonny, 45 years hails from Ocini-Kamdini, Ocini Parish, Kamdini Sub County in Oyam district.

The suspect allegedly had a misunderstandings with his wife, Angom Betty who escaped from him. 

It’s further alleged that he went on a shooting rampage as he was looking for the man that could have taken his wife  

the dead are identified as Apiyo Sunday, 21yrs, Akidi Santino 47 and Ajalo Florence 16 years of the above address. The dead bodies were taken to Dr. Amberossoli Memorial Hospital Kalongo for postmortem.

Brigadier Kulayigye said regretted the unfortunate incident saying that the UPDF will cover for the burial cost and treatment cost for people who have been admitted in Hospital as they look for the Pte Ameny who is currently on the ran 

Agago district RDC, Kidega Nabinson Nok said that the UPDF officer was one of the officers deployed in Ogili Hill to fight the rampant cattle rustling in the area.

Kidega said he will visit the affected community and talk with them adding that they will work together with the UPDF management to make sure that the Culprits is brought to book
