Lira City! Tasha Secondary School Opens To Address Poor Performance

Lira, Uganda: Tasha Secondary School in Lira City has been set up to address the academic performance gap in Northern Uganda.

Founded by a respected businessman from Lira, Tasha S.S is located in a spacious area in the Lira City East division, on the site of the former Unity College Lira.

During a media briefing, Director of Tasha S.S Mr. Talib Okabo( Nyeko BaliKare), also the owner of Tasha Hotel in Lira City, shared that their goal is to offer affordable and accessible education to the Northern Uganda community. He emphasized that the management is committed to making significant investments to ensure high educational standards.

Mr. Okabo also mentioned that the school aims to focus on science subjects, enabling students from this region to compete with those from top schools in Central and Western Uganda.

Additionally, he highlighted that they will provide scholarships for talented students, both academically and in sports.

Tasa Secondary School has hired qualified and registered teachers dedicated to shaping students' futures, both in academics and beyond.

Their teachers are passionate and committed to delivering quality education.

Currently, the Lango sub-region is working hard to regain its former academic excellence. With the launch of Tasha Secondary, many believe it will help bridge the gap and support Lira University and other educational institutions in Lango by providing them with students.

As a faith-based school, Tasha Secondary ensures that students have the freedom to worship according to their beliefs, regardless of their religious backgrounds.
