Bishop Olwa Commissions New Classroom Block At Agweng Parents School, Lira

Bishop of Lango Diocese, Rt. Rev. Professor Dr. Alfred Olwa, has officially commissioned a new, multimillion classroom block at Agweng Parents School in Lira District. 

At the event, Bishop Olwa expressed his gratitude to the school's proprietor, Rtd Major Emmanuel Opio, for his dedication to enhancing education in the area. He also encouraged parents to actively support their children's education. 

The Bishop took the opportunity to bless 47 candidates who are gearing up for their final exams next month, urging them to remain obedient to God. 

The ceremony, held on October 20, 2024, drew several prominent leaders from the Lango sub-region and featured vibrant performances by the pupils. 

Agweng Parents School is recognized as the top primary school in Lira. Its known for its impressive exam results. 

In 2023, the school saw a significant number of candidates  achieving first-grade passes.

Rtd Major Emmanuel  Opio, the school's director, mentioned that the new building will accommodate over 1,000 Pupils, demostrating their commitment to providing a quality learning environment.

 In addition to the new primary classroom block, the school has also constructed a fully equipped nursery section with play equipment.

Furthermore, Rtd Major Opio announced the launch of a new storage building with five levels, aimed at further supporting education in the Lango sub-region.
