Amolatar: University Students Embark on Environmental Protection

Amolatar _ Uganda: Leading by example, University students in Amolatar District have come up with an initiative to educate the masses on environmental protection and to promote green world environment. 

Under their umbrella body codnamed Amolatar District University Students Association, the virbant young students have a plan to carry out outreach activities in different primary and secondary schools within the district to cause awareness to both leaners and parents on the benefits of protecting the environment.

Additionally, the  team also has Hospital Visit Project  to bring comfort and care to those in medical facilities.

Mr. Otim appealed  to well-wishers  for a  support 

to this activity.

During their visits, the team will also plant a tree to kikstart this innitiative.

Addressing the media on phone, Mr. Maxwell Otim Jeromie, the association's president confirmed the development. He added, the outreach will begin in June 2024 with seven selected schools within Amolatar.

According to Otim,besides the tree planting activity, they will as well provide career guidance to the students in order to inspire them in their academic journey

He also appealed for support from different stake holders to fast track the program.

Who is Maxwell Jeromia Otim 

He is a student of Makerere University in Kampala, the oldest University in East Africa , Otim halis from Arwotcek, Amolatar District.
