St Gracious Primary School maintains Excellent Results  in PLE

Gulu- Uganda: Speaking at the release of the results at State House Nakasero on Thursday, 25 January 2024, UNEB Executive Director Dan Odongo said a higher proportion of the 2023 candidates passed in Division 3 and above.

A total of 749,254 candidates from 15,859 centers (schools) registered for PLE in 2023 compared to 832,654 in 2022. Of this number, 501,602 (66.9%) from 11,365 centers were Universal Primary Education (UPE) beneficiaries, and 247,652 (33.1) of the candidates were Non UPE.

Much as there was a decline   in performance, in Lira City, St Gracious Primary school is in their celebration mood as all their candidates have extremely passed with flying colors putting  them  on top among the best performing schools in Uganda.

Out of the 85 candidates registered in 2022 at the school , Seven of them have scored aggregate four, Nine with aggregate 5 while all in grade one.

While addressing the media at   St Gracious Primary School in Lira City East Division, Mr. Elem Leo the principal of St Gracious Primary Schools attributed the outstanding performance to team work and support from stake holders, parents and Quality employees  who valued the future of the children. 

 ‘’We have competent teachers who demonstrated high level of team work, we are so grateful with the result. ‘’ He said.

 Mr. Elem the head teacher thanked the parents and different stakeholders for their supports which has led to victorious result. 

Alfred Okello, a parent was so impressed with the results.  “I can assure you that we are very happy and delighted because all the pupils passed with distinction in  English subject. I am so humbled. 

Last year, the school also extremely performed well, out of the 93 candidates who sat Primary Leaving Examination Board, 91 candidates Passed in grade One with 2 scoring division two.

In  his joyful remarks, Dr. Patrick Olet the Proprietor of St Gracious Primary School thanked parents for always giving support to them. He added,  as the school their target is to create impact to the community. 

At St Gracious schools, we valued child’s future first that is a reason we employed experienced team to deliver better services. 

He added that their vision is to become  a leading educational center in Uganda by providing qualified education.

St Gracious for the since its establishment  has  been on top in performance in Uganda, the School has three different composes namely; St Gracious Nursing and Primary School which is a day mixed school in the heart of Lira City, St Gracious Secondary School, a boarding school located in Boke, Lira City East and St Gracious Boarding Primary School located at Barapwo in Lira City East.
