Mbale City: 15 Journalists gets to next level, awarded certificates

Mbale, Uganda: The executive director of African institute for investigative Journalism Solomon Serwanjja has appealed to journalist to report more stories of human right abuses.
The veteran Solomon Serwanjja who an investigative Journalist made mentioned this when training over 15 journalists across Eastern part of the country in Mbale this week.
He said the skill will help journalist report on Human rights especially in election period.
Mr. Serwannna also appealed to journalist to be vigilant when reporting and covering human right abuses during election Time.
He tipped them on how best to go about human rights investigative stories, systematic approach to human rights, the art of telling impactful human rights stories, ethics in reporting human rights stories among others.
In his reaction, Joseph Ekol Journalist an employee of new vision , a participant sighted the significance of the training.“I am very optimistic that l was chosen by AIIJ for this great training on human right , I will use the knowledge to investigate and expose human right violators in my area". said Joseph Ekol.
Another participatant, Godfrey Eyoku of Uganda Radio Network applauded African Institute for Investigative Journalism for remaining journalist on their role of defending human rights.
African Institute For Investigative Journalism in collaboration with Chapter Four, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung is training Journalists across the country on Human Rights our Concern.
